style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>IgA nephropathy is a glomerular disease found in populations worldwide.<sup>2<\/sup> Low <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-teal-color\"><span class=\"text-decoration-underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/medicalaffairs.travere.com\/publications\/long-term-outcomes-in-iga-nephropathy\/\">estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), proteinuria<\/a><\/span><\/mark>, and histologic findings are established prognostic markers, while other IgA nephropathy risk factors such as population-level variables like health insurance status and healthcare utilization have not been explored.<sup>1,3<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-aim\"><br><mark class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of this study is to assess the impact of demographic, clinical, and population-level characteristics on the risk of major adverse kidney events (MAKE) in adults with IgA nephropathy using the Center for Kidney Disease Research, Education, and Hope (CURE-CKD) registry.<sup>1<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-approach\"><br><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-ocean-blue-color\"><span class=\"fw-600\">Approach<\/span><\/mark><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A longitudinal, real-world cohort study was conducted between 2016 and 2022, using data from 2,571 adults with IgA nephropathy from Providence and University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Health Systems\u2019 records within the CURE-CKD registry.<sup>1<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Predictors included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list-wrapper\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Age<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gender<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Race<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>eGFR<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Urine albumin-creatinine ratio (UACR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Urine protein-creatinine decline, eGFR &lt;15 mL\/min\/1.73 m<sup>2<\/sup>, kidney failure, dialysis\/transplant, or death.<sup>1<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" cohort with IgA nephropathy was from the&nbsp;Providence health system (74%, 1,905\/2,571)<sup>1<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list-wrapper\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gender: 50% (1,277\/2,571) women<sup>1<\/sup>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mean age (\u00b1 SD): 58 \u00b1 18 years old at baseline<sup>1<\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Asian race: 13% (325\/2,571)<sup>1<\/sup>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>53% (1,354\/2,571) had commercial health insurance as the primary (ARB) were used by 49% (1,250\/2,571)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Corticosteroids and other immunomodulators were used by 39% (1,006\/2,571) and 3% (77\/2,571), respectively<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"fw-600\">Within 3 years (median follow-up 2.8 years), 22% (536\/2,571) experienced
