class=\"has-heading-5-font-size\">Background<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Sparsentan, a non-immunosuppressive, <a href=\"https:\/\/clleancode.top\/travere-redesign\/publications\/protective-mechanism-sparsentan-chronic-kidney-disease-models\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dual Endothelin and Angiotensin Receptor Antagonist (DEARA)<\/a>, is indicated to slow kidney function decline in adults with IgA nephropathy<sup>1-4<\/sup><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">In the <a href=\"https:\/\/clleancode.top\/travere-redesign\/publications\/efficacy-and-safety-of-sparsentan-versus-irbesartan-in-patients-with-iga-nephropathy-protect-2-year-results-from-a-randomised-active-controlled-phase-3-trial-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PROTECT trial<\/a>, sparsentan demonstrated rapid and sustained reduction in proteinuria and long-term kidney preservation compared to maximum labeled dose irbesartan<sup>4,5<\/sup><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">While sparsentan has been studied in patients previously treated with renin-angiotensin system inhibitors (RASi), the effect in newly diagnosed,
