But I think the huge difference right now is that we don\u2019t know a ton about FSGS and we don\u2019t have lots of ways to treat it because we don\u2019t know what causes it. And so how can you know how to help if you don\u2019t know what caused it?\u201d (18:55)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"summary-block\">\u201cI didn\u2019t ever expect to have a transplant or organ transplant. I couldn\u2019t process that because it was\u2026it was overwhelming for a while. It was just\u2026it was a challenging part of my life.\u201d (31:55)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-list-wrapper\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pathophysiology of IgA nephropathy and FSGS<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Understanding the pathophysiology of IgA nephropathy and FSGS has been paramount in identifying treatment targets. Research in IgA nephropathy is further along, but we hope to see more data emerge on FSGS in the coming years.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Recent advancements in IgA nephropathy and FSGS clinical trials<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 With the FDA approval of treatments for IgA nephropathy and recent work from PARASOL for FSGS, the treatment landscape for rare kidney diseases is evolving.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Michael\u2019s journey with FSGS<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Michael\u2019s journey with FSGS has been challenging but he persevered, all while sharing his experience with others along the way.
